This special acoustic is a vintage 1966 Gibson J-200N which once belonged to John Entwistle in his vast guitar collection. This guitar was sold through Sotheby’s Auction House in 2003, with auction ID tags still on the case. This guitar can date to 1966 through its specs. The guitar is a ‘double-guard’ J-200, with Kluson waffle back tuners, an added strap button on the heel, and replaced metal saddles as opposed to stock nylon saddles Gibson used at the time. It includes a hardshell case which is still tagged with Sotheby’s auction labels as shown. This J-200 is an absolute gem, and plays wonderfully. It has a narrow feeling neck width and is great for quick chord playing.
