This ornate Gibson is a 1981 L-5S Custom model, owned by John Entwistle of The Who and auctioned off as part of his vast collection in 2003 through Sotheby’s Auction House. The case includes the auction tags still on the handle. The guitar is pure 1980s Gibson, with a harmonica bridge, TP6 tailpiece, and the beloved Gibson crank tuners! The flame maple for the body and neck are spectacular as well! There’s just some light body wear and tarnishing on the pickup covers. It’s in overall excellent condition with the original chainsaw case included.
