The 1982 Yamaha SG-1500 is another level of ‘if you know, you know’ within the 1970s and 1980s line of Yamaha SGs! For a few short years starting in 1982, the Made in Japan SG-1500 was a neck-through guitar like its older SG-2000 sibling, along with block inlays and gold hardware. This is an example from that year! There’s players wear throughout the body, some small dings scattered throughout and finish clouding in the bass side horn and on the body sides. The guitar plays wonderfully and includes the original case albeit with some wear on the tolex including a small hole on the top – but all of the latches work to close the case and protect the SG-1500.
