This is the excellent Epiphone B.B. King Lucille signature model, an ode to the instrument that the Blues legend played on stages around the world. The Epiphone Lucille has top-notch features that include an ebony fretboard with pearl block inlays, Grover tuners with a GraphTech nut, a fine-tuner TP-6 tailpiece and a semi-hollow body design with a maple center block to reduce feedback. Unlike most semi-hollowbody guitars, the B.B. King Lucille’s top doesn’t have any f-holes; B.B. himself requested this feature to help further reduce the possibility of feedback. The electronics are equally impressive, with a six-position Varitone switch, a pair of Alnico Classic PRO™ humbucking pickups wired to CTS® potentiometers, and stereo and mono output jacks for maximum flexibility.
