This is the new Gibson Custom Shop 1958 ES-335, a reissue which pays tribute to the first year of the ES-335, the model imagined up by Gibson president Ted McCarty who went on to call the guitar one of his proudest contributions. We don’t disagree, the ES-335 is one of the most important designs in electric guitar history! This ’58 is finished in a Murphy Lab Light Aged Tri-Burst color, and features an incredibly chunky profile to the mahogany neck and an unbound rosewood fretboard – which was only found on the ’58 model. There are only 130 Tri-Burst ’58 ES-335s produced, so its soon to be quite a collectible model. Pick yours up from The Music Zoo today!
